The Two Arms Of The Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The two arms of the Search Engine Optimization are content and link building. Link building assumes a very important role for gaining more traffic to the websites. However, there is a continuous strife between the web masters and the search engines regarding link building. This is because the search engines do not take artificial links into consideration and also devalue such sites. A good webmaster knows how and where to place link in his content so as to gain the links towards his or his clients website.
Here are certain pointers to take care of while building links for gaining more traffic to your website. First and foremost make sure that you provide a genuine link. A valuable link can attract viewers automatically and will also satisfy the search engines. The important factor for making links worthwhile is by posting the content that is relevant and valuable not only in terms of quantity but also quality. The more valuable your content, the better chances of having more links.

A good SEO expert knows the significance of Link Anchor Text. It is always beneficial to have a varying link anchor text as it will make your link look more natural. A smart webmaster follows the technique of deep link. In this the SEO experts simply link to deep pages on the site rather than just the homepage. SEO Companies in India, USA, UK or any other place, are following the same quality criteria to achieve better search engine rankings.
One of the other ways is also to get links from the other sites based on the similar business. This is called linking with the relevant sites. The idea is fairly clear; the birds of same feather flock together.
Nevertheless, there are still plenty of options and solutions to avoid the clash between link building and search engines. How about sharing a few with everyone to improve the link building performance?

On Wednesday, Google added a new feature to its search results called “Quick View” that would enable the users to view formatted PDF files in Google Docs. Earlier, the PDF files could only be viewed in HTML format and also, they lost much of the formatting, but now the users can view the formatted PDF files with graphics, tables, fonts, etc with the help of Google Docs. This feature has been rolled out for more than 50% of the PDF files in Google’s index. “Quick View” link can be viewed in the second line of the search result, below the title.
Here is an example of the search “filetype:pdf PHP Cheat Sheet” -

When you click the “Quick View” link, you will be taken to Google Docs and would be able to see the formatted PDF file like this one -

Google will be soon rolling out this feature for all the PDF files, till then you can use the “View as HTML” feature to see other PDF files.
Happy Searching!

Google has now added some new options to their search engine. Once you enter a search, You can access these options/refinements (some of which went live in May, 2009) by clicking on the “Show Options” Plus Sign (+) at the top of a web search results list.* Once you click on the + link, you’ll see the options in the left margin. Note: If you’re not seeing any of these new options at the moment, relax, it’s because Google is rolling them out throughout the day. Click on that link and the list of options emerge to the left as shown in image below.

Blogs and Reviews.
- Once done with the list of search list there is an link to filter the search results with Blogs. That will show results which are related to blogs. Check the image below and see how on clicking blogs it shows all cricket related blogs.

- Similarly if you click on Review it will bring up a list of reviews of cricket
plans for mobile phones and also a few reviews of some cricket based video games.
Shopping: More and Less
- Google is fantastic to look up details for something you want to buy online. But sometimes you want to look up sites which only has related information and not necessarily a site from where you can make a purchase.
- Click on More Shopping Sites or Fewer Shopping Sites and toggle the results. As it shows in the image below the moment I clicked on More Shopping Sites it showed search results from where I can buy cricketing gear online. I have highlighted the result.
