Build a Fidget Spinner is a hands-on course to introduce the basics of design process, computer-aided design (CAD), and 3D printing to students. Students will first define the requirements of the spinner before designing the toy in CAD (OnShape). The model will then be imported into 3D Printing slicer software, where the basics of 3D printing will be covered. Finally, the fidget spinners will be 3D printed and assembled by the students.

Due to time limitations, the fidget spinner bodies will be 3D printed prior to class. Students will have a selection of colors to choose from. Each student is welcome to take home their completed toy.

There are no prerequisites for this class and no previous experience in CAD or 3D printing is required. As always, the class is free.
